The Texas Ophthalmological Association is committed to preserving quality eye care in our great state. We invite practicing ophthalmologists and ophthalmologists-in-training in Texas to join their state specialty society. TOA members receive:
A Voice in the Texas Legislature. TOA works as an advocate for ophthalmology patients on the many pertinent issues that arise in the Texas Legislature such as Medicaid implementation, tort reform and scope of practice containment. We also make certain that ophthalmology's voice is heard within the House of Medicine.
Coding Answers. Our own experts will answer your coding and billing questions. We send out regular coding updates to keep you abreast of changes. TOA partners with the AAOE to bring you CodeQUEST in Dallas, San Marcos and Houston each spring.
CME Programs. TOA's Annual Meeting is held each spring in conjunction with TMA's TexMed Conference. Regardless of your TMA membership, TOA members attend free.
TMLTDiscounts. TMLT-insured TOA members receive a discount by attending our Annual Meeting.
OMIC Discounts. OMIC-insured TOA members qualify for up to a 10% discount on premiums! This member benefit alone saves Texas ophthalmologists an average of $1,339 per physician.
Legal Answers. Our staff attorney will answer questions regarding the Medical Practice Act and state regulations.
“FindanEyeMD" Update your profile so that patients can find you.
Public Awareness. TOA works to educate the public on the profession.
TheGreaterGood. TOA provides you an opportunity to volunteer within your community and advocate for your patients.
TOA is the only entity specifically advocating for ophthalmology in Texas. We are a small specialty. In order to amplify our voice, every ophthalmologist in Texas must join.
